How do I install Mix Notes?
Open the download, run the installer and restart your DAW so it rescans plugins. To install by hand, drag each plugin into its folder:
AU → ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
VST3 → ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
CLAP → ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/CLAP
AAX → /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins
My DAW doesn't show Mix Notes.
Restart the DAW completely after installing. In Logic Pro, open Plug-in Manager and choose Reset & Rescan Selection. In Ableton Live, turn on “Use Audio Units” or “Use VST3” under Plug-Ins in Settings, then rescan. Pro Tools only loads AAX, from the system Avid folder above.
The STAMP button says there's no song position.
Some DAWs only send the playhead position to plugins while audio is running. Start playback, or make sure the audio engine is on, then stamp again. In the standalone app, stamps use the app's own clock.
Where are my snippets and checklists stored?
In one library file shared by every project: ~/Library/Application Support/MixNotes/library.json. Copy it to move your library to another Mac.
How do I move Mix Notes to a new computer?
Download it again from the link in your order email, or from your Lemon Squeezy order page, and install it. Your notes are inside your DAW projects, so they come with the sessions.
